Meet Rich Baron
Rich began his professional journey as a studio musician in Nashville, Tennessee, during the 1980s. After his time in Nashville, he toured extensively across the U.S. and Canada, performing with several bands, including renowned recording artists. However, life on the road wasn’t his calling, prompting Rich to shift his focus toward continued education and a career in manufacturing.
This transition sparked Rich’s passion for leadership development and advanced manufacturing practices, such as Lean and Six Sigma. He eventually found his niche in Medical Device Manufacturing, where he excelled in operational management and executive roles with full P&L responsibility for the Intermountain West region.
During his tenure in the medical device industry, Rich achieved significant milestones, including leading his organization to a flawless record of 100% customer retention from 2006 to 2019. Under his leadership, the company operated at an impressive 5.67 sigma performance level while providing reusable surgical products for over 82% of all labor and delivery (L&D) and operating room (OR) procedures in the Intermountain West. The organization was also honored as the “Greenest Business in Utah” by Rocky Mountain Power and Utah Business Magazine.
Today, as CEO of BRL Leadvisor, Inc., Rich brings a wealth of expertise as a Master Certified Intelligent Leadership Executive Coach. He specializes in cultural transformation, operational leadership, and coaching individuals at all levels—from emerging leaders to CEOs. Rich has collaborated with numerous global organizations to foster world-class cultures and develop high-performing leaders.
Rich is equally at ease leading boardroom discussions, speaking to large audiences, or working one-on-one with his clients.
In 2021, he co-founded the Mainline Executive Coaching ACT podcast to explore contemporary challenges in leadership and organizational culture. Since its launch, the podcast has grown a global audience in over 70 countries and 750 cities. It was recognized by FeedSpot as the world’s top executive coaching podcast for both 2023 and 2024.
Outside of his professional life, Rich is passionate about his family, the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, baseball, music, and coaching. He remains actively involved in music through his ownership of Soundwaves Studios, LLC, where he continues recording and producing music.
